Need a hand?
A few things come up most often - the answer to yours is probably below.
What's the difference between Destination, Gateway and Open Site?
Our own three words for how a site works, not official labels. A Destination is the full experience - staffed, ticketed, a visitor centre and café. A Gateway is free entry to the site or gardens, with a ticket only for the house or museum inside. An Open Site is raw heritage - free to visit, nothing between you and the place. Every site on the map and in every list carries one.
My flags are not syncing to my other device
Sync rides on your own iCloud, so it needs iCloud switched on. On each device open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, and check that iCloud Drive is on and Gorse is allowed to use it. Both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account and online. Give it a minute on a decent connection and your flags should appear.
A site's details look wrong
It happens - opening times and prices change faster than any catalogue. In the meantime, check the custodian's own page before you set out; that is always the last word on whether somewhere is open today.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app and everything it stored on that device goes with it. To clear the synced copy as well, open Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, Manage Account Storage, choose Gorse and delete its data. There is nothing on our side to ask us to erase - we never had a copy. See our privacy page for the whole picture.
